What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Protonix? • Talk to your doctor before taking Protonix if you have liver disease. You may not be able to take Protonix or you may require a dosage adjustment or special monitoring during treatment if you have liver disease. • Protonix is in the FDA pregnancy category B.
